NEW STUDENT SESSION

To become a fully qualified Balanced Body Apparatus Instructor, students must  complete the following:

  • Anatomy
  • Mat Instructor training or equivalent (102 hours
  • Reformer Instructor training or equivalent (198 hours)
  • Apparatus 1 - Beginning Exercises course work     (18 hours)
  • Apparatus 2 - Intermediate Exercises course work (14 hours)
  • Apparatus 3 - Advanced Exercises course work     (12 hours)
  • 45 personal sessions and 105 teaching hours or
  • 35 personal sessions, 20 observation hours and 95 teaching hours


Total hours for completion of Reformer program: 188 hours (not including anatomy).


Course Fee: $ 1000, plus Manual/DVD Fee: $160

PILATES MAT

To become a fully qualified Balanced Body Reformer Instructor, students must complete the following:

  • Anatomy

  • 50 Personal Sessions and 100 Student Teaching Hours OR
  • 30 Reformer Personal Sessions and 30 Observation Hours and 90 Student Teaching Hours
  • Pass the BB Final Reformer Test (Written and Practical)

Total hours for completion of Reformer program: 198 hours (not including anatomy).

  • 20 Mat Personal Sessions and 15 Observation Hours and 35 Student Teaching Hours
  • Balanced Body Final practical and written exam (Test Out)

TRAINING DATES

Maria Leone, the driving force behind Bodyline, has been teaching Pilates since 1989 and training teachers for well over a decade. She first discovered Pilates at New York University where she holds a Bachelor of Fine Arts degree from the prestigious Tisch School of the Arts.  Soon after Maria  graduated, her dance career led her to Los Angeles where she danced and choreographed with some of the most respected luminaries in the business including Debbie Allen and Paula Abdul. Bodyline was created in 1994 and in 1999 Maria became the certifying teacher in Los Angeles for the PhysicalMind Institute, which was the first national organization to offer Pilates education. In 2013 Maria became part of the faculty for Balanced Body University, the education branch of Balanced Body, the largest Pilates equipment manufacturer in the US. Her Beverly Hills studio is considered one of the top Pilates teaching facilities in the country.
